From Alice Springs to Nashville, from Vanuatu to Charters towers, Slim's inexhaustible thirst for travel and performance is recorded in stunning candid photographs and informative and amusing behind-the-scenes stories.

The book features about 150 photographs, and the stories are an intimate glimpse into what made Slim tick, and what kept him touring and producing music.

Contents include Slim's favourite album covers, his road songs, career highlights, the official top 100 (+3!) Slim Dusty albums as well as his golden guitar collection - he had won a phenomenal 34 golden guitars since the inception of the Australian Country Music Awards.
